Some skin reacts to everything: fragrance, preservatives, whatever that unpronounceable third ingredient is. If that's you (or your kid), the shortest ingredient list usually wins.
Seven ingredients. No fragrance. Nothing hiding.
Our Raw balm is tallow, coconut oil, beeswax, shea butter, jojoba oil, castor oil, and vitamin E. That's the entire label. No fragrance, no essential oils, no preservatives (a balm with no water doesn't need them), no fillers.
Honest note: unscented is not odorless
Raw smells like what it is: a faint, nutty note from the tallow with a whisper of honey from the beeswax. It's subtle and it fades as the balm settles in. We'd rather tell you that up front than have you expect nothing and notice something.
Where people use it
- Dry, flaky patches that lotion doesn't touch
- Kids' rough spots, cheeks and elbows especially
- Wind-chapped skin in winter, sun-dried skin in summer
- Under makeup, on cuticles, over new tattoos, anywhere skin needs help
One thing we won't do is make medical claims. If your skin has a diagnosed condition, ask your doctor. What we can tell you is what's in the tin, which is everything above and nothing else.
Made by one set of hands
Every tin is mixed, poured, and labeled by hand in Wakarusa, Indiana. Raw is here, and if you decide you want a scent after all, there are nine.
